Biography
Azizul Hoque Shiplu
Founder & Film Director, Libanza Films · Founder, Managing Director & Head of Operations, Libanza Limited · Partner & CEO, Qadar World. More than twenty years of brand stewardship and film craft, from Ogilvy & Mather Bangladesh to leading productions for national brands, government ceremonies and international crews.
Azizul works at the intersection of strategy and the moving image. He has personally led well over 100 advertising audiovisual projects — as executive producer, director, screenplay writer and production designer — and has planned brand communication for organisations spanning FMCG, cement, banking, automotive, electronics, real estate, insurance, development and diplomatic work. The constant is senior judgement: a brand story only holds if it is grounded first, then executed with craft.

How the practice was built
The career did not start in a studio. After lecturing in computer science at MIST, Gazipur, Azizul moved into advertising through an internship at Ogilvy & Mather Bangladesh in 2007. Within a year he was Account Manager, working ATL and BTL on national brands including KSRM, King Brand Cement, Daily Sun, Partex, BTCL and Golden Harvest. Structured training in brand stewardship — Ogilvy Fusion, The Big Ideal, and Trusted Brand Stewardship with Ogilvy Asia/Pacific — still governs how a brief is opened.
A short client-side posting as Assistant General Manager, Brand at Anwar Group of Industries (communications planning across Anwar Ispat, Anwar Cement, A1 Polymer, Anwar Landmark, BD Finance and BD Securities) showed the work from the buyer’s chair. He then rose through Fahrenheit Marketing Communications, from Senior Account Manager to General Manager, Brand Management, leading client service and supervising film production for portfolios that included Akij Cement, Akij Ceramics, Prime Bank, Coats Bangladesh, City Group, Perfetti, Olympic Industries and Okapia Mobile. That is also where the Dhaka–Kolkata–Mumbai production network was built.
In 2016 he founded what became Libanza Limited (early operations sat with Code Arrow Ltd. before consolidation under the Libanza name). As Head of Operations and later Managing Director he has steered strategic brand planning, audiovisual direction and team management. Libanza Films was established in 2019 as the production home, with Azizul as Founder & Film Director. In 2025 he became Partner & CEO of Qadar World, applying the same strategy-and-content discipline to a purpose-driven halal food export platform.
