Case study · 2023 · GAIN Bangladesh
Food Frontiers 2.0
GAIN Bangladesh asked young entrepreneurs to work on urban food-system problems specific to this country. The integrated competition drew more than 200 applications nationwide, with regional roadshows and a grand finale.
Situation
A generic startup contest would have produced generic decks. The brief was three thematic challenge areas tied to Bangladesh's institutional food system, not a pitch night for its own sake.
Role
Azizul Hoque Shiplu led the programme communication and live production: digital, BTL and ATL, roadshows, and the finale as a single run of show.
Approach
An integrated competition ran across digital, BTL and ATL, structured around three thematic challenges, with regional roadshows culminating in a grand finale event.
Result
More than 200 applications arrived from across the country, spanning all three thematic challenge areas.
What this teaches a similar brief
Development competitions are programme design plus live days. Brief the themes, the cities and whether a film crew follows the roadshow. See event planning.
