Case study · 2017 · MK Electronics
MK Electronics corporate campaign
Bangladesh's pioneering multi-brand electronics retailer needed a new generation of shoppers. A television commercial with an English-language jingle and celebrity Novel delivered 290,000+ views, 3,000+ engagements, and a 130% increase in in-store sales, plus a platform for e-commerce.
Situation
MK was trusted by older customers and invisible to shoppers who did not inherit the brand. The brief was the floor and the first e-commerce push, not a brand anthem for its own sake.
Role
Azizul Hoque Shiplu led the corporate TVC — jingle, celebrity, and the claim that MK is a trusted local home for global electronics brands.
Approach
The film used an English-language jingle and Novel's endorsement so the store felt current without pretending to be a foreign chain.
Result
290,000+ views and 3,000+ engagements sat beside a 130% increase in in-store sales and a usable launch platform for the new e-commerce channel.
What this teaches a similar brief
Retailer films still have to move the floor. Brief whether the buy is stores, the site, or both. See e-commerce advisory.
