Hiring a brand strategist in Bangladesh
Dhaka leadership teams searching for a brand strategist usually mean: make this organisation sound like one organisation, then prove it in the film and in the branch. Azizul Hoque Shiplu writes a territory document for typically BDT 2–5.5 lakh. It is not a logo pack.
What "best" actually means for a strategist
Not the thickest deck. It means a written territory short enough to be read in one sitting, naming who the brand is for, who it is not for, and the sentence it will still defend in three years. It means the strategy was tested on real launches, not produced in a slide-only practice with no production experience behind it. And it means the document is specific enough to say no to a film idea the client likes but the territory doesn't support.
How to actually compare strategists
Four questions worth asking before commissioning anything. Can you show a real territory document, not a framework deck — the actual deliverable a past client received? What's a specific example of a creative idea you told a client to drop because it drifted from the territory, and can that client be named? How do you test whether the territory actually holds across the trade, the branch, and the film — or does it only live in the strategy meeting? And what happens after delivery — is there a review point to check it's actually being applied, or does the document simply get filed?
Proof, named
Named work that needed this hat first: BIR Cement's third-brand problem, Astha Life's trust gap, Pran Potatos as a new line that could not look like every other snack. Strategy here was learned at Ogilvy & Mather Bangladesh and practised on live launches, not in a slide-only practice.
