Hiring a TVC director in Bangladesh
TVC director searches are format-specific: thirty or forty-five seconds that must hold on air and still cut down for a feed. Azizul Hoque Shiplu's direction/EP fee for a 30-second is typically BDT 1.5–5 lakh. Unit, talent and post extra. Named work: Pran Potatos, Xtreme Aerosol, BIR Cement, Ashok Leyland Eid, MK Electronics.
What "best" actually means for a TVC director
Not just a reel. It means understanding the specific constraint of the format — thirty seconds on national television is a different discipline from a two-minute brand film, and a director who only works long-form often struggles to compress a full idea into that window. Member, Television Commercial Producers' Association of Bangladesh (TCPAB). The reel is public. A visiting international director is a separate job — fixer-plus-support, not direction — which is a role already run on prior units.
How to actually compare TVC directors
Four questions worth asking before committing a broadcast date. Can I see a recent 30-second spot you directed, and talk to the brand it was made for? How do you plan a shoot to deliver both the broadcast master and the social cutdowns from one production day, rather than two separate shoots? Who signs off the final cut before it goes to broadcast — you, the agency, or the client, named explicitly? And what's the realistic timeline from script lock to delivery, given Bangladesh's own production and post-production capacity?
