Hiring an executive producer in Bangladesh
Executive producer searches are for accountability: one person who owns schedule and budget when the director is in the frame. Azizul Hoque Shiplu's EP fee is typically BDT 80,000–3.2 lakh a project, or USD 400–850 a day on a visiting unit.
What "best" actually means for an EP
Not the biggest crew list. It means someone with the authority — and the willingness — to say no to a creative idea the schedule or budget can't carry, before it's promised to a client. It means clear ownership of the handoffs between strategy, script, production and delivery, so a project doesn't stall at the seams between stages. And on a visiting or protocol-grade job, it means understanding that some dates can't move and building the whole plan around that, not around optimism.
How to actually compare EPs
Four questions worth asking before committing budget. Can you name a specific instance where you stopped a creative idea because it blew the schedule or budget, and who was the client? Who has final authority over the call sheet once it's locked — you, or does that sit with someone else who can quietly override it? If you're also directing or fixing on this job, are the EP budget and the creative or operational budget actually separated in writing, or is it one blended number? And what happens on the day something genuinely goes wrong — is there a named decision chain, or does everyone improvise together?
Proof, named
Ashok Leyland / IFAD Autos — the 10,000-unit production landmark, run to a near-200-guest schedule with senior management from Ashok Leyland India attending, where the event's own timeline left no room for slippage. Diplomatic ceremonies carry the same discipline: dates set by protocol, not by the production, with no reshoot available. Dual hats (EP plus director, or EP plus fixer) are possible on smaller units if they are named as two responsibilities, not one blended job.
